SOURCING FORCE TALENTS · BME CONSULTING

International freelancer onboarding. Connect countries, client and work location.

An overseas freelancer’s dossier depends on the supplier entity, establishment, client and actual place of work. Prepare those facts before discussing commercial coordination or importing another country’s document list.

  • Identified entities
  • Actual work location
  • Country-specific review

TALENTS PRACTICAL GUIDE

What should you provide at the first discussion?

Present the selected professional, client entity, outputs, countries and timetable. BME reviews international services subject to applicable restrictions, including European rules relevant to its operations. For UK and US buyers, identify local requirements and the actual contracting chain. For an overseas provider serving a French client, preserve the separate France-related review described in the original French guide rather than assuming UK or US documents are sufficient.

01 · PREPARING YOUR DECISION

Distinguish establishment from place of work.

A provider may be established in one country and deliver work from another. Give both facts rather than summarising the dossier by nationality. Describe remote work and planned travel. For a US engagement, identify the relevant state and client entity. This preparation identifies questions to examine before agreeing the commercial route, without assuming English-language work is governed by one country’s law.

On-site work may require specific immigration, work-authorisation, professional or operational review. Commercial coordination does not itself issue permission to work or reside in the UK, US or France. The parties need appropriate information to prepare commitments and the start. Do not confuse a supplier record or document receipt with authorisation for an individual to perform the service at the planned location.

02 · PREPARING YOUR DECISION

Prepare provider evidence with the client’s requirements.

Gather entity identity, declared structure, establishment and known client requests. Determine the correct evidence for the situation. US tax documentation depends on payee and payment; UK status questions use their own framework. For a France-related service involving an overseas provider, the official vigilance guidance addresses specific evidence. A French Urssaf certificate is not a universal requirement for all countries.

Vigilegal is integrated with Sourcing Force by API for follow-up of entrusted purchases. The public site does not access private dossiers and its checker verifies no document. Use a non-confidential summary to open discussion; the team then specifies evidence and a suitable private channel. The appropriate parties should review tax, classification and operational questions separately from file collection.

03 · PREPARING YOUR DECISION

Clarify conditions before the order and invoice.

Present value, period and references needed by the client. Prepare questions on currency, expenses and tax treatment with competent contacts. These belong with the agreement and actual parties. A single supplier brings entrusted purchases together without removing assignment-specific information. For a French client, preserve the references and local requirements needed by that business instead of converting them into a generic UK or US process.

BME states onboarding within 24 hours, distinct from service approval and actual start. Its commission is 3–8% of value depending on volume and client terms, with no minimum or maximum assignment number. Explain constraints to prepare a proposal and timetable. All-country enquiries remain subject to applicable sanctions, restrictions and dossier review rather than automatic acceptance of every route.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Your practical questions.

Can assignments in every country be presented?

Yes, subject to applicable sanctions and restrictions, including European requirements relevant to BME and other rules applying to the parties or operation. Review may concern entities and transactions as well as the country. Identify the provider, establishment, client and planned service to prepare the dossier. Openness to enquiries is not automatic acceptance of every arrangement or permission for an individual to work at the proposed location.

Must an overseas freelancer always provide an Urssaf certificate?

No universal requirement should be assumed. Documents depend on the provider’s situation and framework applying to the actual service. France-related official guidance distinguishes overseas providers; UK and US dossiers have different requirements. Prepare entity, structure, establishment and work location to clarify evidence with responsible contacts. A tax form or local certificate cannot simply be substituted for every foreign requirement or treated as a classification approval.

What can I send without sharing confidential information?

Give expertise, countries, period, estimated value and client business. Summarise outputs and known order requirements to identify the project. Keep full agreements, identity evidence, tax identifiers, bank details and sensitive information for the private channel specified by the team. The initial form prepares commercial discussion with BME; it does not inspect documents, create an order or approve the assignment’s legal or tax structure.
